Hello Everyone,

The Wooly Wonders Fiber Arts Guild will be meeting will be held at the farm of Sue Spencer on Saturday, August 28th at 10:00 am.

Please bring a dish to share and we will have a pot luck lunch.  Bring some knitting along and plan to have a nice relaxing day in the woods. You are also welcome to bring your bathing suit and a towel to have a dip in the pond.

Our program will be a demonstration of the “afterthought heel” presented by Barb Wingert:

Have you been curious about the afterthought technique for sock heels? You can get a taste of this versatile technique from Barb Wingert’s demonstration at our meeting. No prep or tools are necessary, just bring your eyes and ears. This will just be a demonstration so you can sit back, relax, eat good food, and learn the basics of this way of (eek!) cutting your knitting to add a heel to your sock.

Sue will also have her “rope making machine” on hand, so bring some yarn and/or ribbon and see how it can be twisted into a decorative rope!

If you would like directions to the August outing please send an e-mail to woolywondersNWPA(at)gmail.com.

Don’t forget to bring your show and tell items!

We look forward to seeing you on September 28th!
