April 22, 2009

Our April field trip/meeting was great!

We had a nice meeting in which we found out about 2 new yarn shops in the area. We had two visitors and we also had a great potluck lunch!

We had a wonderful time touring the beautiful, secluded property and there was even some knitting going on.

But best of all we were able to hang out with a whole new flock of REAL wooly wonders…as in real live sheep!

Of course, being sheep they were suspicious of us at first and kept their distance.

But it wasn’t long before our hostess Sue was able to snag a lamb for us to see up close.

Have you ever seen anything this cute?!

And if one lamb is cute, then two lambs are even better – right?!

Being surrounded by all of that wool, our brains began working overtime and we came up with an idea to have a “dye day” this summer. We will all bring some un-dyed yarn and get creative. Stay tuned for more details.

Thank you Sue for inviting us to spend the day with your flock!
